4x9 muffler.

I see where im purchasing a muffler theres 4x9 and 5x8, which is ideal for f150s, the first truck to call MINE, so this stuff is new.. is a 4x9 workable? 18"

No real big difference, fitment is the only difference if anything. Its still an 18" length so they'll both sound equal.

right on thanks... This guys wants to sell me a 4x9, i know that the catback mag has a 5x8, was just wondering what the difference was.

The SI/DO is only available in 5x8, so thats probably why, otherwise one is only an inch thicker than the other, and one is and inch taller than the other, no real difference.
