Your right, i just hope it dosnt go out anytime soon
i might replace it once i get 300,000miles because i did notice that she leaks oil from the bottom of the engine i think its the oil cooler line assembaly.

 

yeah, my truck runs great with max A/C on even.

 

^ I can't really tell any difference when my a/c is on.

 

When my A/C is on, my truck bogs down pretty bad.

 

If your truck is weak when the AC is on, I would probably get that fixed.

 

Where is the best place to start?

 

Well its 1 of 2 things. It could be causing a misfire so you will only be getting power from 7 or less cylinders. But most likely the compressor is going bad and is locking up, causing you to lose power. I would get a new compressor and chances are that would fix the power loss.
