What's the deal with 09-10's?

What's everyone doin on the new trucks for exhaust? I was gonna swap in a bullet and add a tip, but was wonderin what everyone was doin on the new ones. Mine's a 4.6 3v with the 6spd. Do they sound the same as the 04-08?

'09+ also have longer length manifolds with tubes, not just a tube along all the head exhaust ports. Nearly a shorty header style. Much better for getting the gases out the block and the volume minorly higher.

so a conclusion to what your saying is whatever and 04-08 4.6 or 5.4 sounds with aftermarket, will be a hair louder on a 09-10?

I got the Banks Monster Exhaust SI/SO. Pretty loud, but everyone I know likes it.

Yeah Fine 09-10s will be louder.

My 2010 FX4 has true dual 2.5" piping going into a Magnaflow X-Pipe, then to 2 14" Oval Magnaflow mufflers and out to 4x18 rolled tips 45'ed out the back. I've been meaning to get a good video of it since I had a hard time deciding what to get. There's not a whole lot of good sound bits for the newer trucks, but I lurked around the Exhaust board here long enough to decide on my own.

A little more than a hair, but you got the gist of it.
