2009/2010 MAF Relocation

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows if relocating the MAF sensor closer to the throttle body will screw anything up.

I was hoping to replace the entire intake with a tube of the same diameter as the cross section of the current intake that houses the MAF (to ensure it reads the same...or attempt to).

My only real concern is that by relocating the MAF (preferably less than a foot from the throttle body) I may change the time difference between actual airflow and airflow read by the MAF, thereby running lean/rich depending on how the computer is setup.

P.S. I'm not worried about extending the MAF cable...I know it won't reach right now.

It shouldnt make a difference as long as the MAF still is facing the stock direction so air flow goes over it the same way. Other then that I dont think it really matters how close or far away from the throttle body it is. However any vents for say crank case or anything that also attach to the intake tube need to be after the MAF not before as the crank pressure may push air into the tube causing a false reading.
