Nothing really. The smaller one might be for symmetric exhausts.

Also do you think it would sound good with the pipes exiting in front of the rear tires?

That car has bassani exhaust.
OK migdaddy I know what I wanna do I want to leave my factory manifolds for now, I want to cut the y pipe out and come off with true duals into a magnaflow or other brand x pipe then into two borla xr1 mufflers then out the back under the bumper or lightning style with unsure what style tips if you have any in mind let me know. Also would you go with 2.25" or 2.50" pipe I know with the 3.5" when the motor lopes you can hear the exhaust make a swish sound because the pipe is too big LOL.

The best sound you can get from an exhaust IMO is to run it before the rear tires, but the drone is alotttt. (at least on my truck it was) Have you considered running it behind both tires at a 45 degree angle? Do you want low end tq or peak hp?

Honestly I don't like them 45ed out the back either straight out or lightning style I just want the best possible sound I can get. I'm thinking if I do lightning style all the sound would be directed to one side, and if I have them coming out the back then people to the left, right and directly behind me can hear it.

I would do lightning style out the side before the rear tire then. http://www.qwksvt.com/Lightning_Files/Mac/Tips.jpg

Hello migdaddy. Your 2003 F150 5.4 20" Bazo B4 is nicer than before you wrapped it in Nitto 420S. 3" Dynomax Bullet . K&N Intake. 2". But you can upgrade it more.
