Sawzall for sure. My intention was to have the original tailpipe reused but there was a bend too close for a clamp to work. It could have probably been welded but I went for the before the wheel look and a big slash tip. My setup uses clamps because I wanted to do it myself and also be able to replace pipes/pieces as they rust out.

so is the OEM pipe that i attach the new muffler to an inside diameter of 2.5 so the muffler fits inside or is it 2.5 on the outside so the new muffler sits on outside it?

The tailpipes in 04+ are 2.75" diameter, but everything else is still 2.5" until 2009 which went to full 2.75" ( finally ).

Man u ain't gota worry bout makin it to loud I got true duels with no mufflers and it ain't real loud so any mufflered exaust on these trucks won't be to loud as long as u still got cats.

on my 07 fx2 i just had the stock muffler cut out, and put a 14" magnaflow in its place. nothing obnoxiously loud, but you could definently tell a difference from stock.

 

He posted crap like that all over I think its a bot or something its weird for sure.

 

Same deal here except i put a Cherry bomb. And to be honest i think it sounds emazing. I'll post a vid later today.
