OBX now sells them with cats too I believe. I went catless and got them for like 475 I think some place. They are replicas of the Dynatech system.

Thats what I have read. But is the quality as good ? I thought I'd go with the catted kit that has the y pipe. But would it be way loud with my Roush offroad system ? the muffler is only about ten inches long .

See that's the issue with the ROush kit Jon. It is such a baeutiful sounding set-up with stock manifold and even cats. Hi flows sound amazing on it, but LT's AND hiflows?... gonna be too loud I think. Maybe here's an idea. Get the headers and hi flows and then switch your muffler to the Roush legal system like MDK did.

I had that thought also. Roush doesn't sell the mufflers individually unfortunately. I know they are made by Borla. If I did some homework or asked around , I might be able to find a Borla replacement that would work. I just checked ebay on the OBX with cats. they were $700. but when you read the whole add it says cats aren't included ?

Jon the way I look at it is do it the best you can, first. I'd save for the Dynatech's personally. You'd still want to get it dyno'd so unless your going to to Bill at PHP, you'd have to get a SCT product (probably Xcal3) to take full advantage and to make sure the truck is running properly. It's going to be a pricey ordeal after all is said and done so I'd just get the best at that point for a few hundred more.

I feel the same way. Im just trying to do the research now. With all the recent holidays, and work being called off today due to the snow. Hours have been short. Like most companies, I expect it to pick up after the first of the year. Hopefully I can get this done.

You want High Flows with LT's, or your more less defeating purpose. Why do you think High Flows exist ? Also, with Headers and High Flows add in alone, there isn't a need to alter tunes. Like say you have been tuned for an intake in the past, your tune is still good for headers and exhaust. If your running a factory tune and change the intake AND add headers,HF's,Muffler, - yes a tune will benefit. If your running a 3V, it's a must.

Just because another guy runs his a certain way, for what ever reasons, doesn't mean you have to do the same to get the same outcome (as far as sound). You can get the same results without hurting performance. LT Headers, HF's and a nice Borla to top it off. That's a good set up.

I've got the Roush offroad cat back . It's 3'' from the cats to the sido muffler. I think the outs are 2.5 " . The muffler is small. like 10 inches. I've been told they are made by Borla. I know what Im trying to do has been done many times. Nothing new here. I'm just looking for the best deal on the Best parts. Id like to install them right after I get my 2011 inspection sticker just in case its too loud, Ill have some time to enjoy it. Ooops , I mean fix it. ======== ======

I ran manifolds, 2 front stock cats (removed rear) and dual 14" mufflers and the sound level was perfect for me. I then did long tubes and no cats with same mufflers and it was WAY to loud. So loud I had to capitalize 'WAY'... I then went a single di/do 18" maggie and still to loud. However with high flow cats 18" is good. Without I wouldnt do any less then 22" muffler. My OBX header quailty was damn good. Nice and thick and the fit was perfect.
