unhooking your battery terminal will not change how your truck sounds. if you dont like the way it sounds try a different muffler

I knew that, just messin wit ya. Resetting it will let it "relearn" but it likely will still "burble" some on let off as I like to call it.

You aren't having loud pops like fire crackers and such are you? An air leak in the exhaust system will cause it as when you first let off you get some exhaust with unburned fuel dumped and it's hot enough that any oxygen coming into the exhaust pipe will allow ignition of the traces in the exhaust. Even if it happens ahead of the cats, you'll still hear it. Exhaust manifold or header gasket leaks can do it.

i think that he thinks if he unhooks the battery to reset the ECU that it will make his exhaust stop poping? but i hope that he really dont think thats true
