To fix the wrap/crackle sound, let the engine & exhaust warm up... Then rev it. Just about any high velocity exhaust will pop anyways. My true duals does it even. The best fix, dont show off with reving.

Not sure what the hell a "slowmaster" is.

Removing terminals won't stop the cracklin and poppin though. If you have a louder than stock muffler and it's too loud, if it lets you hear something you don't want, go quieter even back to stock if need be, OR add another muffler in line with it.

If you have more than a little poppin, maybe a crack or other leak in the system allowing air in?

Slowmasters must sure be some technologically advanced type muffler if they have terminals.

Oh .... That 'splain's it some more better.

Unhooking the negative battery cable for 15-30 seconds can't hurt but a Flowmaster will still pop and crackle some on deceleration. I've even heard stock exhaust do it if geared down. The difference is in "degree" or "volume level".

Stock get's it quiet enough that you don't hear it.

Why is a Flowmaster any more deserving of being called a "slowmaster" than whatever other muffler is your favorite?
