SI/SO Setup

SI/SO Setup
Hey guys,
I've been researching for quite some time on what kind of exhaust setup I want to put on my truck and I have decided to go with a SI/SO setup. I want to do a SI/SO setup because it seems like everyone has a dual exhaust setup and I wanted to change it up a little bit.
My plan is to start by removing the two rear cats (because I have an 04' and I have 4 cats) and run new pipes to a Magnaflow 10778 - 2.5" -> 3" Y-pipe then running 3" intermediate pipe to a Magnaflow 14419 - 14" Magnapack 4" Round. Then run 3" pipe back behind the passenger side wheel similar to the stock location topping that off with a black MBRP Angled Rolled 3 1/2" ID x 4" OD tip.
First question, would that muffler sound good for a SI/SO 3" setup? And as far as adding the 3 1/2" inlet exhaust tip, do you think it would be better to run a 3 1/2" tailpipe from the muffler back (like the Banks Monster exhaust setup) OR simply flare the back end of the tailpipe to fit the 3 1/2" tip?
Please, let me know what you guys think.

Sounds good. What you think about the putting the 3.5" ID tip on there...should I go 3.5" on the tailpipe from the muffler back or just flare it up to 3.5" at the end of the tailpipe to compensate to the tip size or do you think that will look weird?
I would just go with the 3" ID tip but I really like the SS black tips MBRP makes and they only come in 3.5".

It'll definitely sound good but it will be loud and the drone will suck while pulling a trailer. My old truck had a similar setup at one time and I tried both a SI/SO and a SI/DO. Both of them sounded great; the SI/SO was a little quieter but deeper and the SI/DO was a little louder but wasn't as deep. The main difference between what I had and what you will have is that I was using two high-flow Magnaflow 94106 converters and you are going to be using two factory pre-cats. If I remember correctly though another member on this site (DarrenWS6 I believe) came to the conclusion that the factory pre-cats are basically the same thing as Magnaflow 94106 converters.
Check out the video in my sig if you want a good idea of what yours will sound like.

I came across your youtube video when I was doing a little exhaust research, sounded real good.
