Calling all 5.4L true dual owners

Hey guys. i got mine done with highflow cats(2), 11" magnaflow mufflers, xpipe, and tips. i have a question about a sound i get though.

when the truck is in overdrive doing like 40-45 around 1400 rpm it sounds like the truck is hesitating but it is still gaining speed and what not and once you give it some more throttle it goes away and sounds normal to me. do you guys get this sound too with your true dual setup? ive always had cat backs and didnt know if this sound was normal

I get this with my headers. Usually if I'm cruising through the gears and hit certain rpms, I notice the hesitation and you can hear it. Doesn't sound good so give it some gas and it's not there

Are you speaking of the sound of what feels like the power train being strained from not downshifting to the next gear? The dual rumbling sound? Yes common. Good point to view were your low end torque has left. Not too bad with 2.5" while driving unloaded.

I like that sound. You can hear every cylinder fire one by one. But ya, duals make this sound much more clear.
