Flowmaster Mufflers...

i have the 40series dual out and its just turn downs...is there advantage/disadvantage of adding pipes...is the sound better or anything...just an idea ive been throwing around and ive about to replace the all the converters and figured i would through that in also if there was an advantage to it...thanks for any advice...

Yes it will be louder and sound better. To get the BEST and LOUDEST sound from the muffler have it exit BEFORE the rear tire.

well if i did i was going to angle them out by the bumper...

Yeah, my vote is out behind the rear wheels, either angled to the side like you say .... or straight back like mine.

But definately, out back someplace.

Tex,

I've got the Original 40 SI/DO on mine with the exits 45'd at the bumper and it sounds great. Adding pipes/tips will give you a more aggressive sound. Check out my videos on YouTube, my screen name is the same as here.

X2. I have the same setup with mine 45'd just behind the wheels. I also have mud guards installed. I have a couple of YouTube videos also. My tips are 4x18 ".
