I haven't checked with the SVO Motorsport parts site yet ... to see why/if they still offer the Stainless Steel headers, but I will. I'm concerned with quality and fit, so I want the best available. Who makes the best header for the 4.6?

No experience here, but the consensus on the boards is JBA. However, they are VERY expensive. I have heard that the Ford headers have been discontinued. Try the "Y" pipe mod first. Look through the threads, you'll find it.

Shorties are a waste of time and money.

They are really to short to do any good. The stockers are not that bad at all, and just going to bigger diameter pipes will lose the bottom end power.

Really if you are going with headers, dont mess with shorties. Go long tubes. They are the only header that will give you more HP and torque thru the whole RPM range.
