Switching Mufflers

Hey guys, I know that I might get some critisizm on this but I want to switch out my Flowmaster mufflers. Right now i'm runing a Real True Dual exhaust system with 2 50 Series Flowmaster mufflers with pipes out the back. I'm thinking about switching the mufflers to their super 44's. How much more of a deeper tone would i get? I know that the drone would increase but would it still be bareable? Cause I drive a 40 mile round trip to work each day and its all interstate. Also would adding a crossover pipe increase anything? I don't like a raspy or crackling exhaust. My exhaust sounds good right now but I want it to be a bit more noticeable. I have tried YouTube but most of them are all si/do setups with one muffler. I'm wandering how much of a sound difference there is with me having two mufflers on two pipes instead of a si/do muffler. On a side note, I only have 2 cats. Not sure which ones are taken out.

You dont like raspy or crackly exhaust? Thats exactly what youll get with the 44s. Switch to magnapacks and youll get a real deep and loud aggressive tone. Add an X pipe before the mufflers.

Looks like I will be going down to the local exhaust shop pretty soon to see what they have to offer.

dont buy from an exhaust shop!!!! buy the mufflers, crossover, and tips ONLINE (youll save $$$) and ONLY have the shop weld and add new pipe together.

depends on which of the converters have been removed, if the front, smaller ones, are still on it may drone a little.

I'm just thinking about switching the mufflers right now. I already have a custom exhaust that was done about 2 years ago. I might just do that now and see how that sounds. Then maybe a x pipe.

Alright guys I have made up my mind, i'm thinking about Dynomax Bullets but i'm not sure how the interstate drone would be at about 2000 rpm. Where is a good place to buy them cheap from? Also, would it make a difference if I get an x pipe? If so, what is it? I kind of just want to swap out the mufflers right now.

1800-2000 is the death range. Any small bodied muffler like that will have that death range drone. A crossover is important. An X pipe equalizes exhaust pressure and improves scavenging.
