Exhaust Manifold Parts

Hey everyone,

I have the oh so common right exhaust manifold leak on my 04 FX4 5.4 due to a warped manifold and i am looking for the parts to replace it. I know i will need the following:

- RH Manifold
- Manifold Gaskets
- Manifold Bolt Kit

Is there anything else i will need? Can someone possibly provide parts numbers for these items and recommend a good place to get the parts. I will not be doing it myself as ive heard its a pain and that you have to lift the engine and the bolts break. I will be having my mechanic do it.

That is the manifold from the Ford parts website. The gasket was like 10 bucks but I couldnt find the studs...

Or just go to rockauto.com and get the hardware and manifold.

I had my right side done at the dealer last year and it ended up costing around $800. Then two weeks ago the left side started leaking so I decided to tackle ot myself. It is not that bad of a job except for the front bottom bolt, it was a night mare. I also broke the top back bolt off, thank god it broke with enough stud left to weld a nut on it and it came out. All in all I'd do a hundred spark plug jobs to a manifold job.

Don't buy a new manifold, have yours machined. It will be way cheaper and is actually what is suggested when you replace a motor. I know your not replacing your motor, but having the gaskets side machined will fix the warping.

UCF-150,

I was thinking about that but i can get a brand new OEM Manifold, gaskets, and studs for about $150... Do you really think it would be cheaper to get it machined??

If they charge you a half hour shop time to machine it, your probably looking at $40, plus $10 for the gaskets, and why are you getting new studs? Is something wrong w the ones in your head?
