weak. Put a dynomax bullet in place of your stock muffler and call it quits.

It will work - sound & noise level will be the almost the same as the loudest muffler you could install (flowmaster 1 chamber/magnaflow race, etc.)

Coming from someone who has actually ran straight pipes and not just dynomax/magnaflow fanboys it sounds good, is loud but not too loud. if you run it out from under the truck it sounds better and a little quieter

Yea I used to run true duals with the 4 stock cats on a 97 4.6 5 speed and it was ok but lost a lot of sound at around 2500 rpms. I then took off the rear cats and gained a good bit of sound but cackled a lot and I understand some people don't like that. A tree fell on the truck so I didn't get to go any further modding the exhaust. I now have a 2000 5.4 auto and run obx longtubes with maggy high flow cats and 2 1/2 pipe and love it. Its much more raw than the stock 2 cats and a good bit louder with lots of cackle. I know it isn't an exhaust for everyone but I really like it. I may get some small maggies some day to even the tone out just a little.

I did leave out the part that I dont have straight pipes anymore but is only because my long tubes and high flows were a bit too loud. I now have a straight through 3"x14" magnaflow muffler(so it doesnt muffle it much)

I dislike straight pipes, but the 4 cat trucks with straights sound very good imo.

I ran w/o muffler on my '05 & '08, wasn't too loud, considering it's going through 4 cats. No drone while cruising. I couldn't see spending money for a muffler when it sounded just fine to me. My '08 was a little louder than my '05, cats were different.
