Here's an interior video I made today. Only about 18 seconds or so. Speed is just cruising around 45-50 mph. The funny thing is the sound is actually louder in the video than it was in the cab. lol

Badass truck Ark, glad we had our discussion about this in another topic haha! I can't wait to get my parts in now and go have it installed!!! The only time my Flow SIDO sounds good is on acceleration and goosin' it only. At cruise, it's like having stock pipes on I swear.

Yeah, I heard that about the Flows at times. I was at the shop after they just completed my exhaust install and another customer was having a 40 Series Flow installed. They turned it on after the installation and the truck sounded so close to stock it was uncanny. Whern they rev'd it the truck sounded ok, but other than that it was horrible. The guy that had it installed walked over to me and told me he couldn't even really hear the difference. I told him niether could I. He was pissed. I think he ended up pulling it off right after they installed it and told them to install a Magnaflow of some size.

I turned on my truck (with the Magnapack) next to his Flow 40 and completely drowned out the sound from his truck. When we rev'd the engines at the same time you could barely even here his.

The Magnapack, at WOT, IMO, sounds like a Blackhawk helicopter. LOL

Yeah the Flow isn't that bad but now that I have a bit more knowledge about exhaust, I'm just wanna say what was I thinking?! Didn't do my research at first and Flow was the cheapest thing there and you certainly get what you pay for I guess! I talked to the owner of my shop here and he said magnaflows were a hair quieter than the Flow 40's and I couldn't believe it haha! I guess that old saying about opinions and buttholes applies there. Do you think my 3x18 tailpipes will make a different sound than your 4" 45 exits?

They will probably sound a little different. The 4" x 18" seem to really project a megaphone type effect. I am not sure how different a 3" will sound though, to be honest. Darren/Avfrog/Mig/4.6Punisher probably know better than I do.

Are you going to run the same setup as me with the 3" midpipe and 2.5" tails?

Yeah manifolds, factory cats, factory y pipe, 3" midpipe, 3" magnapack, y pipe to 2.5" tails, 3x18 slash cut tips straight out the back. Possibly adding hi flow cats 94106 later if I decide on it.

This is what i had put on my 02 with a 4.6. I absolutely love the sound of it, and it definitely turns heads, even without flooring it. Not raspy like a glasspack, not too quiet like the flowmaster 40 i had on my old silverado. Truck sounds mean, scratch that, evil.
