Hey guys I know this has been talked about a lot before I posted I tried searching for my answer and couldn't find it, so here it is I have a 97 5.4 2wd I can only find 99-03 4wd headers I know the heads changed to pi in 99 will those still work on mine and if not does anyone have a link thanks

 

Pacesetter 70-2227. They fit my '97 4.6 2wd just fine. The deck height on a 5.4 is slightly higher but headers are the same.

I'm pretty sure only the inlet ports changed on the NPI tp PI heads



have you checked out the OBX headers?????

 

I have not checked out obx yet I will today and thanks guys soon as taxes get here I'm going to order them

 

i dont kno about the 4.6/5.4 differences, but we put 99-03 5.4 4wd obx long tubes on my dads non pi 97 5.4 4wd and the only two issues were the egr tube, he had to buy one from a 99-03 and we had to extend the two pipes rite after the resonators to clear his tranny/transfer case(cant remember) but it sounds like you just want the headers so you wont have the pipe issue
