Si/so muffler true duels

Anyone ever thought of running a single muffler si/so on a true dual system and having a y pipe at both ends of the muffler?

If you do a dual up to the muffler then "y" it at the front then get a SI/DO its basically a "Y" in the muffler at least my Roush OR is basically a Y pipe lol.

It would not be a "true dual" set up thought

Yes I know it's not a true dual but by saying that my truck right now is a true dual all 4 cats removed into an x pipe then a di/do muffler and I was think of putting in a 6" diameter 3" core 14" in length magnapack that I would weld a y on each end of the magnapack it self sorry for not explaining better

Just looking for a deeper sound I ordered one magnapack and was gonna order another one next payday then this idea popped into my head of just running the one muffler on my set up now

So just to be clear.....

You want two pipes from the manifolds into a Y upstream from the si/so muffler. Then, you want a Y downstream from said si/so muffler into two tailpipes?

Is this what you're asking?

I'm still not quite sure I understand what you're after. Can you post up a diagram of some sort?

Wouldn't that decrease some of the power and/or torque?

Ya but you have to remember that I have no cats on my truck so how could decrease torque/power as opposed to someone's truck that has all 4 cats

Yeah, don't do it.

Two things:

I can just about guarantee you that NOBODY else on here is running that set-up. Since that's the case, no one can comment as to how it would sound. Furthermore, I can guarantee you that there is a really good reason that nobody is running it.

Secondly, and in case you missed it, the replies you're getting here are very nice ways of advising you against doing whatever it is you have dreamed up. If I were you, I'd take that friendly advise and run with it. However, if you're that curious about it, wear it out!
