I'm looking for good sound without drone and have read on here that Magnaflow fits the bill. will it still not have
much drone if I go with the 14"?

The 14" in the 09+ are quite louder inside, you may want to consider 18" tops.

I forgot about the 18" one. got a reply from Magnaflow saying that the 14" was what they usually put on coupes and sedans. probably go 18" when I do. thanks guys

Put on my 14 today on my 07 and love it not too loud at all sounds just right. I think a 18 would have been too quiet

The oval 14" are quiet compared to 14" bullets. I've had both on the 5.4, and the bullets sound the best. I can hear them inside but there's no drone

As Darren said, our generation (04-08) trucks are like apples to oranges. People take of 18" catbacks because they find them too loud on the 09's+. As stated, if you don't want a lot of noise, 18"

I have bullets on my 2010, had ovals on my 07. The ovals weren't loud at all, at idle it sounded stock

Thanks for all the input guys. I think I will probably go with the 18" when I am ready. Just spending time right now working on my '06 Vulcan 900 getting some things replaced for this riding season. :-)

I had the 24" si/do installed a year ago and it wasn't too loud then, but now the drone is a little louder than before. I plan on putting sound deadener on the back wall and in the doors to see if that will help with the drone.
