DIY True Dual Magnapack

I am tired of rewelding the stock y pipe only to have the pipe break off time after time. I pulled the muffler/tailpipe assembly off about 10 weeks ago because the Y pipe broke off another section, I found the muffler was just hangin by the rear hanger which was on its last nut.

Right now I have a 3 foot section of pipe pressed on the Y and run out the right side to dump and held in place by a hanger, it sounds pretty good without the muffler but the system sucks.
I've had stock-boring it leaked, Gibson, slowmaster and a cutout on this truck, none of which I really liked.

Got an estimate about 2 years ago for having a new y pipe made and 2 cats put in place of the 4, $750 for just the Y pipe and 2 cats. .

I have built a few exhaust systems at home and even a Y pipe from scratch not easy but I had fun. I don't have a lot of money to put into the exhaust, I wanted SS & LT's but I don't have crappy weather to warrant buying SS nor the $ to plop down for headers and if I get another 14 yrs out of steel pipes that's great.

I am planning on a universal summit x pipe kit $90 and a Patriot Sidepipe Hookup Kit because it includes 2 J's and 2 elbows for $53, I have to build a little at a time because money is tight and I need the truck.

All 2.5" tubing, I bought one Magnapack 10436 one a previous order its really long because I was hoping to get rid of the drone, I dont mind earth shattering noise but slowmaster like drone makes for a bad headache, ear plugs don't even help with that-that's one reason I removed it other than it falling off.

What would be wrong with cutting the 2 rear cats off and placing the 2) 22" magnapacks in their place? What would that sound like?

^ Crap.

1. You will have the most drone in cab with the muffler that close.
2. It will sound like crap on the outside. With that much pipe behind the muffler you will have a LOT more gurgle sound to it.

You really need to have the mufflers right in front of the rear axle to minimize drone in the cab and to offer the best tone from the system.
