Question about ECO turbos

Have a 2012 ECO with just over 1500 miles on it. It had a straight pipe put on from flex pipe back at about 1000 miles. Now have noticed the twins have become noticably loader and when my wife drives it she thinks it hesitates when first starting to take off. i told the turbos are just building boost. Is this normal. My first turbo truck so am not sure and could have straight piping it hurt the turbos.

Sadly, many times the coolest of trucks go to waste.
