Magnaflow muffler question

Well I was 5 minutes away from finalizing my order for a 14" long, 4" round 3" magnapack with a Y-pipe and 2 tips until I found this other magnaflow muffler...

http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/12763/10002/-1

It's longer and has a larger diameter than the other magnapack but I like how the dual outlet is integrated within the muffler. Question is, how do you guys think this will compare sound wise to a single magnapack with a y-pipe after it? I am hoping to avoid some of the popping and drone that can come with the small magnapacks/bullets

Thanks!

Yeah I realize now that i forgot to say in the OP that i know it'll be quieter as far as volume goes.
But do you think it'd be quieter than say 14" or 18" oval maggie?
I was hoping to find the happy medium between the 18" oval and the magnapack...

I have the 18" oval SIDO and I'm very happy with it. That said, my brother may be doing his exhaust soon. If he does, I'm going to give him mine and get a 14" for just a little more enjoyment! I get the popping too, but it's only when I rev in park. I'd never heard a Magnaflow on an F150 in person until I got mine...lot of flowmaster knockoffs around here courtesy of Midas and Mufflerman. You simply cannot beat that low mellow rumble, you basically have to pick your volume!

I did a lot of watching/listening before I made my choice as well. Quality speakers or headphones make a BIG difference. I used a Jawbone Jambox and Bluetooth through my home stereo system.

Here's mine, took those with iPhone. Not top notch sound quality but will give you a good idea.

Apparently you can't toggle two pages to copy multiple links on an iPad without losing you work...

Anyhow, this is my favorite exhaust. Its a true dual with Magnapacks. The first video still gets me all excited!

Also check out AVFROG above, don't have a link for his and don't want to post again. He is running a Borla if I'm not mistaken (listened to that one a time or two on YouTube) and he has a great sound as well.

I'm very new to the exhaust game, but I believe that 24" round you posted about would be pretty quiet.

Hope this is all helpful to ya!

Awww, y'all done gone and made me blush! :o

I appreciate the kind words Remingtonry!

OP, either way you go, you'll love the tone. Oval bodies are a little more tame. Magnapacks are a little more aggressive, but still have that distinct, low, ballsy-sounding rumble.
