First, questions need to be answered.

1) What body style and bed length?
2) How much $ is too much?
3) Do you see all 4 seasons where you live? Salty roads and corrosion being my point.
4) How loud do you want?
5) What styles do you like? Duals out the back, single/dual side etc...

Answering these might narrow choices and suggestions.

Seriously though, no real hp's are gained from exhaust improvements on a stock truck. However, you'll sound like it did! Even after I did long tube headers, high flow cats to an already in place single in single out 3" JBA system, it did not gain a whole lot, maybe 15 hp. There are ways to boost power but it'll cost ya. A tuner is a good start.

Honestly, without knowing the above answers now, I'd say get a good cat back, Magnaflow or JBA and $400 is about what it'll cost. Sound is good too!

Pretty sure you can get a Magnaflow kit for just under $400, plus you have a pretty common truck platform so you should be alright. Sorry, just checked, these go for around $600 by the looks of it. Here's a JBA si/so system exactly like mine for under $400. I love mine, felt more low end over a straight pipe, nice sound and fit was excellent. I've had mine since 2005 and it still looks and sounds great. My opinion would be to go this route. http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...0A2606110.aspx

I would highly suggest going to a local muffler shop.Allied makes great units that come in just about every size imaginable, flow as good as any "perf. Muffler" and availabl nationwide from any muffler shop...costs...about $30-$40each..with install, $80. Add on a tailpipe and tip, another $120.
