OP, car shows are all about profiling, not producing MAX hp. Flowmasters sound awesome on those engines. They really compliment the larger cams.

Now, lets go to any "sport" where MAX hp is a must, and see what mufflers they are using. Drag strip, circle track, pulls, you name it. Anywhere MAX hp is needed, flowmaster is out!

 

 

At least you dont have to remove your spare tire with Flowmaster. Thats reason enough for my money to be spent somewhere else. Not bashing the sound or quality of Magnaflow, just the silly spare tire removal. Not on my dollar!

Now...im new to alot of modifications including exhaust, but ive seen lotsa mufflers, lotsa setups and have yet to see a reason why a flowmaster is any better a fit then any other brand. Let alone any reason that youd have to remove the spare.

per Magnaflows site, 2011 f-150, Dual rear exit requires spare tire removal. Thats what i meanest by that.

 

Maybe for a catback system but a mandrel bent "custom" exhaust shouldnt have that. Work around it?

 

A quality cat back system should not have to be modified either. Work around it, nope. just buy a system that does not require your spare tire to be removed.

 

Right. Buy an inferior Fartmaster which actually hinders maximum performance and not a custom exhaust with a superior product. Makes sense.

 

just go to a exhaust shop and have them weld in the magnaflow, they can bend it around the spare tire.

 

^^ This! Betcha it'll be cheaper than a prefab catback system too!
