Right....the old "Noise = Power argument"

Ak_cowboy - Thanks for the input, I didn't know i'd lose power. Know of any good exhaust kits that'll sounds good without losing power? I've been reading up on Borla and Flowmaster.

On another note, my exhaust is short. It's end is in the middle of my truck. Will an exhaust kit fix that? Or am I going to need to add a extra pipe?

Thanks for the help you guys. [/B]
Most full "Cat-Back" kits will run from the y-pipe all the way back, so no need to add pipe. Borla is a good kit, but expensive. Magnaflows sound better on these trucks than Flowmaster and I think thats what most guys are running here.

Read up on the exhaust thread (https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...ust-guide.html) and let us know if you have any more questions

let me ask you this:

if you rode in my truck with the cutouts open and closed...ud say with em closed ur ear dyno would say theres more power...or when theyre open and theres sooooo much thrust from the shorter pipe your ears have got to say theres more power!!!!!!

in this case ear dyno > butt dyno everytime.
