Install Estimates??

Searched…didn't find this one.

I still need to ask around and find a recommended shop in my area, but what are you guys paying for pipe & labor on a custom true dual installation? Headers will already be installed, plus I'll take the shop all the parts; mufflers, tips, cats, x-pipe. Just trying to get a ball park idea.

Calling around will give you the most accurate estimates.

I'd just call around locally. I brought the mufflers, x-pipe, and tips to my exhaust shop of choice, and they charged $125 to put it all together with 2.5" pipe.

Expect about $230 - $270 avg for a true dual fab + install.

I guess it is just another one of those reasons why the southern side of the country wins! S.C does sound pretty good about now.

When I had mine done about 5 years ago it was $300 for piping, labor, and tips (I brought my mufflers). It was true duals all the way out the back. Price was higher than others in the area, but the quality was top notch. Pricing in my area still seems to be about the same.

So check this out...

I've called three places; one highly recommended, two I found on my own. All were $350+. The recommended place was $500-$600 on the estimate. He was concerned with the LT's and the cat on the left side about having enough room to swing that pipe back over, but still said even if everything went great, $500 was still the low end of the estimate. However, the $500 guy was great to talk to, understanding of what I wanted, everything. That place even had a good webisite with potos of his exhaust work.

However, get this...everyone I talked to all told me the same thing; "good luck finding a shop around here that does mandrel work. If you do, you'll pay alot more for it than what I'm quoting". These were exhaust shops and none of them knew of a shop close by that even did it.

I guess I'm missing something, cause I for one thought sub $200 install jobs on a full-up system for labor and pipe didn't sound right.

So, any chance anyone in the St Louis area has a recommendation?

Sounds like my area. I'm having my cats and mid pipe all redone in 304SS with mandrel bends. Using a high end performance shop for mine because of it. You might have to go through that route. It's the only place I could find. There work looks fantastic, but it comes at a price. 80 bucks an hour. I'm comfortable because of all the muscle cars and truck work they seem to do. Blowers, headers, the works.
