Help '99 f250 Super Duty won't idle
Truck's been running great (and still does) but dies a slow death at idle. The other day everything was doing great. Stopped at traffic light and engine slowly lost rpm and died. Start-up / die, start-up die, start up, keep rpm at 1000 or so and put in gear runs fine. Got home, raised hood and a hose had fallen off and laying on intake manifold.
There are two male nipples vertical of each other on the air intake between the air filter and where it connects to the TB. The nipples are directly above the valve cover on the driver side that hoses connect too. The bottom hose connects to the driver side valve cover. The top hose is the one that had fallen off.
It is a piece of 5/8 or 3/4 ID rubber hose connecting to a factory pre-formed piece of plastic, more short hose then a factory canister about 3" long and 2 1/2" in diameter, which has a male nipples on each end with barbs to secure a hose.
Problem, can't find the other/missing hose nor where it goes. Help and old man out please. 1100 miles from home and no one to turn too.
