Questions about Performance Peddler and Exhaust Setup

I have developed a terrible exhaust leak. I have been turning the radio for some time but I'm finally fed up with it.

I remembered people recommending performance peddler in the past. I see that you can get decent discounts on the products, but you can only apply one code at a time. So, in order to get the full discount I would have to place an individual order for each product? That means I will have 5 different orders, 2 cats, 2 mufflers, and one x pipe. Has anyone else done this in the past? I don't want to **** the company off, but their discounting methods kind of suck.

Their website changed up a lot which brings me to believe that they got bought out. I don't recommend them anymore because of it. Hottexhaust.com is now the one I recommend. Their prices aren't as good as PP's used to be, but at least I know it's still legit.

I've always had good prices from summitracing.com or wickednickys.com

Just a quick parts list check. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

1x - Pacesetter Ceramic Coated LT Header 72C2328
2x - Magnaflow High Flow Cats w/ o2 (2.5") 94136
1x - Magnaflow Tru-X Crossover (2.5") 10781
2x - 14" Magnaflow Magnapack (2.5") 10416
2x - 4" Magnaflow Stainless Tip x 5" Long 35136
1x - Stage 8 Locking Header Bolts 8906
1x - Fel-Pro Exhaust Manifold Gasket 18250-07023729

Right now I'm pushing about $900, don't want to spend it but I want to do it right this time around. I still have not decided if I want to attempt the header install myself, let alone maybe the whole exhaust install. I'm not sure my local shop will install the headers or if they use stainless tubing, if not I may just ask him what I would need and purchase it for him to use.

Now for a few questions. The LT collector has a 3" id and the rest of my system is set up for 2.5". Do I need some sort of step down? I am not sure exactly how that will work because I will more than likely purchase all the material myself and just give it to the shop to install if I go that route.

I'm also not sure about the stainless tips. I honestly found them trying to push my order to $500 on hottexhaust so I could receive a discount. I would like to have turn-down style right behind the rear bumper, but I'm not sure how possible this is going to be.
Example

Sound wise how loud am I looking? I want it to grumble, but hoping the magnapacks will reduce highway drone over my flowmasters right now. I love the flowmasters sound but if I put this system together I will pull my hair out going down the road.

Thanks for the help everyone!

they do sell those collector reducers but it all depends on what collector the header has.....flange type or weld type.....a shop can fab theses up also with the use of an expander.....

Get bigger cats man, those 94136's are comparable to the 94106 and they have a 9" body. The 94306 should have an equivalent and be tamer.

There will be drone at the dreaded 1800 RPM death zone. I had to swap my Magnapacks out for the 11's because the drone finally got to me. It might be different for you with 2.5" pipes, LT's, and the 5.4.

@ 88racing: It states these are a slip-fit collector which I take as a weldable. What would be the best method, get a reducer or just fab something up?

@ TruckGuy24: Gotcha on the cats, I will make that correction. Do these have the O2 bungs built in like the previous pair I had selected?

@ 4.6 Punisher: By 11's are you speaking of this muffler (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=9958) opposed to the magnapack muffler?

@ Duffy1992: Nice catch! That would have sucked. I thought I grabbed the right part number, but looks like I didn't correct goes something like this 72C2229. My truck actually is a 5.4 so that's why he was stating that.

Is there any difference in having the offset same end compared to the offset to center type muffler?

You do know those are for the 4.6L correct? For some reason I thought you had the 5.4L. Pardon me if I am wrong, but I would hate to hear you tore it all down only for the wrong header!
