Considering this to be my next mod. Anyone have any thoughts on this brand of header/high flow cat/y pipe set up? and what will i nned to modify on my 02 4.6.

Just ensure the head plate is no less than 3/8" thick- IMHO, I prefer 1/2" thick plate (which most mfg's don't mass produce anymore).

 

I have the kit on my 01 5.4 and love them. I would just buy better hardware than what they supply in the kit (the kit bolts are not stainless and low grade) other then that great bang for your buck. You may need to do the gotts o2 mod to clear the check engine light. I had no light for the first six months then it came on, did the gotts o2 and it has been fine for the last two years.

 

I'm running obx long tubes . No cats just resonators and y pipe with a large body Afe strait through muffler. Sounds mild while driving normal, screams when I mash the gas. I'm supercharged and my numbers went from 436rwhp/476rwtq to 470rwhp/500 rwtq. I used stage 8 locking hardware and copper gaskets. Love the setup!

 

what had you done to get to the 436?
Anyone tried the OBX Cat Back with and resonators that come with that kit??

 

I have the resonators instead of cats. To answer your question, I am running a Whipple supercharger with 10 pounds of boost (3.125" pulley)as well as a 95mm maf housing ,47 lb frpp injectors, autolite hto plugs .and of course obx long tubes without cats. I had my truck dyno tuned by the great Bob Kurgan at Deans Performance in St Charles Illinois. Truck is an ANIMAL!
I also have 4.10 yukons in the rear end(2wd). When I mash the gas which is quite often the obx long tubes ROAR!!
