Gibson Exhaust - Metal Mulisha Edition
Hi Guys! Question: I have a 2011 F150 FX4 with the 5.0 V8 in it. Everything is stock. Has anyone installed one of the newer Metal Mulisha exhausts on one of these trucks? How does it sound? Did you lose power?
This is a cat-back exhaust but it converts to a 4" pipe. I read one guy's comments on youtube who installed it and he said he did not lose power, but possibly gained.
My plan is to do the exhaust, and then add and Airraid CAI, and if need be, have it tuned. However, would I lose a ton of power with just installing the Metal Mulisha exhaust and the CAI with no tune? I will eventually be pulling a camper and don't want to lose stock power. Thanks in advance!

Well with 4" pipe it will certainly have a deep deep tone, but with that you will certainly lose some low end torque. It would flow better at high rpms, but with 4" pipe we're talking really high rpms. If you were to add a CAI with exhaust and plan on towing more than 1500lbs frequently, I would certainly get custom tunes.

^ Correct. A 4" mid pipe will defiantly raise the torque curve considerably. I understand that this guy said he may have gained, but lets be honest here, a large number of people will try and tell you that what ever they have on there truck is the best. So... don't read too much into it. The laws of physics don't change.
