So your saying go with the Flowmaster Super 44 ?

okay guys I found what I am doing.I am putting the Dynatech 722-84210 SuperMAXX Header Syetm on my truck.Off of them I am putting the Dynatech 722-84230 SuperMAXX Y-Pipes.From them I am getting custom pipes made back to the Flowmaster 9425472 Super 44 Muffler. Then out of the muffler and straight out the back with daul pipes. Then ending the 2.5 pipes with a 2.5 in Gibson Performance Exhaust Tips that are chrome and 4 out.The truck should sound pretty mean.

For sound and performance both, -

Corsa
Borla
Magnaflow

Borla or Corsa for me. I've heard many and like those two best. They sound great all the way thru the powerband with the least drone at cruising speeds, in my opinion of course.

A Mustang Mag had a shoot out not to long ago, Borla ran away with it as far as performance from what I recall. There were two Borlas tested in this shootout and Borla captured first and second place. - Track and Dyno.

Search muffler shoot out or results, -performance and sound. Search You Tube as well. You'll have that common knowledge in no time.

Differences between the a Straight thru design and a Flowmaster, -

About 6 seconds lol. I did a video comparison with a Flowmaster 50 series and a Magnaflow race series and timed it in such a way were you could time it yourself. To be fair to Flowmaster, I should mention I added headers before the second run with the Magnaflow. Yea, that made a difference for sure.

nw150 mentioned that the Flowmaster didn't perform any worse than a straight thru design. Well they do, that's been proven in the past. UNLESS they have redesigned they're muffler, it still stands. However, the question I had back then, - was that difference even noticeable enough to matter ? That seemed more important. Dyno data, -Flowmaster didn't seem to be drastically far out from the rest. So it's possible, that the normal Joe won't even notice a torque/power difference.

That said, I also re-installed the Flowmaster with the headers. Wanted to see how it sounded with headers. Well, it did sound pretty good just above idle. The 5four sounded like a 5.0 GT, under power on the low side, but that's all the credit you can give it. With the Flowmaster you had to power thru the low end and it noticeably would take it's time where with the Magnaflow, you shoot right thru it. Taking off from the light empty and under normal acceleration, your about two truck lengths ahead of traffic. With the Flowmaster, your on the power just to keep up with traffic. But hey, it didn't sound bad with all that. What you get sick of in a hurry is the drone @ cruising. -Gets old fast. I swapped back to the Magnaflow at that point. That was years ago. One other thing, that Magnaflow still looks brand new after washing the undercarriage.

BTW- A little tip, don't leave a Flowmaster outside shop, like say along the side or in back of it. Better off just tossing it. Varmints/critters that wonder into that thing can't seem to find they're way out. So if you notice a rank smell coming from somewhere outside the shop, check that Flowmaster, with caution.

Well the Flowmaster is just a Muffler. The rest of the truck will be Dynatech Headers and Y pipes. Then from there like I said it will be custom pipes all the way besides for the muffler, but I plan on getting it all tuned in so I dont know.I am new to this thats why I keep asking for help because I still have the original pipes, headers, and cats. And I have never ever experiment before with pipes.I hear alot about the Magnaflow and they seem to be really good. And alot people seem to dis on the Flowmaster so I dont know. Thanks for all the information you guys have been providing.

Your planned setup is alright. The Dynatech kit is the best header kit as far as fitment and quality that you can buy for your truck. The Flowmaster Super 44 muffler will really roar with it too. Try it out and see how you like it. If you dislike it in the future a muffler is an easy change out. I only believe that the interior noise may get annoying for you. You will enjoy the idle.

That it will hum loudly inside. ( the muffler ).

Look at my video here, this is how loud my muffler is inside. The Super 44 with headers & #94136 Magnaflow cats should be louder than this.

Make fun of you?? Nonsense! We haven't yet begun to make fun of you!

Take it easy, bud. Ol' 'brewshkabob and I were just giving our opinion in our own twisted ways. Actually, we've been tame compared to the norm. We must be a-gettin' old.

Sense of humor + not taking oneself so seriously =

Relax, bud. Just tryin' to help.

That aint bad.I am gonna lift it with 35 inch tires to so its gonna be noisey inside.I really like you sound alot, now I know if you coasting it wont have any rumble but if you hold speady gas like down a high way or put cruise on will it have that steady rumble ? And you were saying that super 44 should be a little louder then that ? I guess what Iv been wanting and I most likely wont get is someone to tell me everything I need and post a video and if I like it I could do out and get it lol
