Question Steeda Side Exhaust?

Has anyone ever used the Steeda side exhaust, its actually made by Borla for Steeda, It has 2 pipes that exit before the rear tire.

I was told the steeda are on sale right now, $400, instead of $450, thats why i'm considering it. Also I don't like the rectangle tips on the gibson

SSR,
I received mine the other day, I have not had a chance to either install it or have it installed yet. The Steeda exhaust is made by Borla from Stainless Steel it looks great has Steeda stamped on the muffer and laser etched on the tips but looks just like my brother-in-laws Borla on his '97" F150. I love the sound of his but like the look of my new Steeda even better with the round slash cut tips. The Borla/Steeda exhaust has the million mile Warranty so it will out last most Gibsons or Flowmasters my Flowmaster system looks kind of ratty after not quite two years.
Hope this helps I will post again when it's installed unfortunately I have to work this weekend so I will have to wait .

LOVE MY GIBSON!!!!!!!!!

I would have gone with Borla again, but mine went to junk mafter a year and a half. I called them for a warranty but they pro rated it. So I opted for the Gibson which has a life time warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. LOVE MY GIBSON.

Yes.........please post pics as soon as you get it installed! Looks good. When I pull up that link my browser says Bassani (interesting).

I am curious how it sounds. I am worried about getting something to loud at highway speeds. I would love smoethnig that I can't hear at all when cruising on the interstate.

Just got it installed, no pics yet I no longer have access to a digital camera. I will go buy some film and shoot pictures later today and hopefully have them on the net by thursday. (I couldn't wait the film is at the 1 hour developing as of 3 pm California time, then I will scan and post asap). The Steeda exhaust system looks sweet, and the sound is even better than my old Flowmaster Force II Exhaust System. It has a nice deep growl when you get on it but it did not drone on the freeway. I had it professionally installed it took the guy about 30 minutes. He said it would have been quicker but he had to tweak the hangers a bit so it fit right. I am so stoked right now, only I wish that I had bought this system first.

Can you really hear it at all on the highway? My fiance will kill me if I put something on there that drove her too crazy. Keep in mind, this truck is hers in less than 6 months.

I think I just like spending money or something.

(DARE I ASK FOR SOUND CLIPS???????)

I DARE

I had to make a point of listening for it on the freeway. The sound on the highway is not as loud as my old Flowmaster. And my sister, her husband and I drove 2500 miles in October with that and I heard no complaints from her.

Sorry I have no way to get sound files.

Thanks for the quick response. I am very tempted to order mine, but I am hoping someone in Houston will get it first so I can listen.

I just emailed Steeda to see about a SALE on this muffler?
