Gibson sweptside flipped around ?

A tech guy at Gibson told me if I wanted more sound from my sweptside I could turn the muffler around & it would be a little louder and not affect any performance.

Has anyone tryed or herd of this ?

I have not done it, but thought about it....... The reason it "should" make it louder is the inlet pipe has louvers punched into it that face forward. Thus "grabbing" some of the exhaust as it enters the muffler. The exhaust that gets "grabbed" then flows through more baffles (I think ) before it leaves, so that's what keeps it quieter.

If you reversed it, then the exhaust won't go into the louvers at all, because they would be facing the rear and the exhaust would just flow right over them.
