Mitch,

The V8-wannabe's do exist, not as many as the fart-pipers, but it's still similar (especially when people lose tons of torque just for sound).

I may head down "the other route" just to be original.

I currently drive a Jalapeno green ranger, for cryin' out loud, you can't really take that seriously *nods*

Hey - sorry, Corpsie.... I didn't realize it was a joke. I recently got the F150 and traded in my previous car - a Civic Si. I guess I didn't realize it was a joke because in the import world, that would have been totally beleivable (VTEC, Type R, etc.)

Keep on truckin!

I'm not joking about putting on a "-R" badge or anything, i'm putting them on AS a joke.

You're all just jealous that I'll have an F-150-R

I'm one who wants my v6 to sound like a v8. I posted this in the exhaust forums, but have no replies yet. I was wondering, if I put 3-1/2" X 22" exhaust tips onto my Flowmaster 40 SI/DO set-up, would it sound more deep and powerful? Can you call these echo-tips or (fart pipes?)

Exclamation

Wolverine,

I'm guessing, if you want a deeper rumble, you can probably get an exhaust shop to cut between your cats and your muffler, put a 3.5" or 4" diameter pipe in there (with the appropriate adapters to attach it to the stock diameter pipe) to give you an echo-chamber for the rumble.

What you want isn't a fart-pipe though.
