Cool

Jebus-just click on the address I posted above and you will have video and audio. I am not very good with computers and I don,t know how to convert it to just a MP3.

Hey Screamer, I was just thinking I had not heard from you in a while. I am running about 50 more RWHP since you drove the Beast. It is pretty wild! If you have time, down load the address I posted and listen to it turn on!

Wink

50 more??? Way to go! I still haven't added anything since the chip, almost two years ago now, if not longer. I'm looking into pulleys, 3:73's and an Auburn, and an electric fan. I'm not sure which one I'll do first. I crunched the painted bumper, and installed a 4x2 Expy chrome bumper. Your getting kind of close to L territory now, aren't you?,,,,98

Yes, I will definitely listen to the exhaust, that has got to sound good! I knew you were probably overbreathing that single in dual out Magna, it was time for an upgrade

JMTruck, go to this address which will take you to the X pipe, then go to the mufflers and match them with the model numbers I posted above and you should be set. http://www.magnaflow.com/03hardware.htm

I wanted to post this info on my exhaust. I would not recommend this exhaust for racing if you are running the 4.6L.
With my Magnaflow single in dual out and Y pipe I dynoed 287.1 RWHP & 334.3 lbs of torque. After the
x pipe and dual Magnapacks under almost the same conditions today I ran a 270.4 RWHP & 311.2 torque. The only difference between the runs was the exhaust!

Sorry to hear that, are you going to switch back to your previous exhaust?? Man, you got to hate losing HP after all that time and hard earned $$$$ spent. ,,,,98

Hi Screamer, No big deal. I just wanted to post so that some one else doesn't open up their system too much. I am still running 282.4 RWHP & 324.4 lbs of torque with the 9 LB pulley! That is enough to dust off most of the stuff on the street. I will keep this exaust system and I will build an engine that will need it!

Hello Flats Man, Sorry that you lost some ponies with your current setup but I really appreciate you keeping us informed on your results! Lots of Butt-dyno speculation around here but few actual dyno runs!

I'm nearly heartbroken to hear that you lost some power because I was planning a similar system but without mufflers and with 2 1/4" pipes. Could you please tell us what size pipe you used on your system??

Thanx in advance, LE PEW.

Hey Le Pew, I haven't talked to you in a while. I am running 21/2 inch pipes on both sides. This system might be perfect for a 5.4 L. I know a lot of lightnings are running this system. My little 4.6 L just needs more back pressure.......or I need a lot more exhaust volume! The sound of the system is really awesome so if you are not racing, it is still a great system.

Wiretheboat-If I took the X pipe out of the system, I think I might drop even more horse power because what I need is more restriction in the system. I know two Lightnings that are just running the 4 Cats and no mufflers at all. I am guessing that they are dropping ponies!

Flats-

I was just getting ready to order me a set of mufflers and x-pipe just like yours but not to sure now. You mentioned that it may be more suited for a 5.4l. What makes you think this? If I do still, then I'll stick to the 2.5". I was thinking 3" duals but thats not going to happen after your findings.

Way2big, Check with Neal on this one. The Magnapacks are straight through, No back pressure at all! If you put a different muffler with the X pipe, then I am sure you would be fine. I just don't know what combo to use. I think I would definately not go with 3 inch pipes. Bigger is not always better. Neal seems to be making good HP so I think I would go with his setup on the 5.4L.
