Question Duals

I have narrowed it down to getting the Flowmaster 40 series and getting straight pipes. Both systems would be true duals and i was wondering what it was cost me to go to either of these from a completely stock system
All Suggestions and comments wanted

250kid,

i spent around $150 for my straight pipes. i love the sound, always have liked to be able to hear my rides. there is not a huge difference in the straights compared to the FM40. the 4 cats on these trucks really cuts the sound down. try it with straights first, if you don't like it , then add the muffler of your choice. might save you the money from an over-priced muffler. good luck, Rich.

I thought about the lower costs of the straight pipes, but I'm not sure about if they are legal in Virginia , i haven't found the laws on mufflers so i may have to go with the FM40's
