Cool F150 Magnaflow Cat-Back

I installed a cat-back system with a magna flow (medium noise) muffler.

The shop used generic mandrell bent pipe over the axel with a custom bend which exits behind the rear wheel. They fabricated the other 3" pipes and hangers to complete the system and installed a nice crome tip.

Everything is welded, no clamps. The magnaflow has a deep throaty sound and doesn't kick-in until you put your foot in it. Cruising on the highway you don't hear it from inside the cab. Sounds excellent with the FIPK.

I recommend the magnaflow (medium) for the f150.

They only charged me $225.00 installed. It's aluminized, not stainless, but who needs stainless in Californaia?

Boardcat,
I'm curious where you got that price? I just stopped by Cruisin' Mufflers in El Cajon, they quoted me $350 for the same setup.
If you are in the San Diego area, $225 is a lot better.

Boardcat,
A few question's if you don't mind. I went on magna's website & could'nt find just muffler's. Did you order the cat-back system ?
Do they have diff. sounding muffler's ? You said your's was medium,do they have low or a high loudness ?
Do you have the SI/SO system ? Did you lose low end torque ?
Thank's...Mike

Click on the following link to look at Magnaflow's mufflers:

A rule of thumb is, the longer the muffler, the quieter the sound.

I lost no low end torgue, actually seems better. the difference in sound, at least for the magnaflow is based on length. Mine is the 27 incher and it sounds perfect.

I had the system installed at a place in Laguna Hills. It's off the beaten path and they do all the work for the local gas stations and dealerships.

They did an awesome job; no clamps or cheesy after-market crap, everything is welded together including the tip.
