I don't know how much horsepower or added gas milage you get with an X-pipe. But I do know it will make your exhaust alot quieter.

My understanding is that the x pipe balances the flow and keeps the back pressure nominal to maintain low end torque. On most F150's and Expy's with 4.6 or 5.4, an aftermarket larger diameter exhaust will cost yhou low end torque, the x pipe can help reduce that loss and balance the exhaust sound.

The link shows no cats use on at x pipe can you run cats or not .I would like to hear now about it. I have a friend that say the last thing I need to worry about is my exhaust . he say it will kill my low end, you have to be making more power be for the exhaust will hurt you .

i saw the site but it still shows no proof anyone selling something will say anything to market it i talked to a exhaust dealer and they said by the time you spend the money on an x-pipe there is really no difference for power or low end torqe

On a Mustang an X-pipe makes sense. On our trucks it doesn't. As well, on a Mustang you have "true duals" factory so either an H-pipe or X-pipe accomplishes the task. The technical detail often overlooked is that the distance from the exhaust manifold flange to the X or H has to be the same for either side of the exhaust because it is the sequential pulses of the exhaust that work together in the X or H.

On the trucks you're best off to have true duals as you do or use a DI/SO muffler or flowmaster Y-pipe (fixing factory defect T connection) and a 3" SI/SO muffler. The DI/SO accomplishes the same as a Y because the distance from the driver's exhaust manifold is much longer than the passenger side so there will be garbled exhaust pulses downstream.

That's my 3 cents!
