Flowmaster 40 Delta Flow on Stock pipe

Just wondering if anyone has put a 40 series deltaflow on stock 2.5 inch single in single out exhaust pipes. I have a 98 4.6L with no engine or intake mods. I bought a FM 40 deltaflow but haven't had a chance to put it on yet and I am dying to know what it is going to sound like.

If anyone has a sound clip, I would love to ear it. If nobody does, I will record one and post it as soon as the weather is nice enough for me to put this bad boy on.

Thanks,

Thomasj

i have a '02 4.6 with a flow 40 series...the sound on my truck is a bit lower in tone...not much louder...it is a single in and single out...and does not have a loud cab noise...but you will notice it a bit...i turned it down just after the rear end...not run all the way out and kept the 2.5 diameter pipe the entire lenght....bump up to 3 for a louder noise (if wanted) but expect a little lower end power loss with the diameter change....

Where did you get your facts and figures on how restrictive the cats are?

ford sell more of these trucks than anyone else in the world..they want the truck for the general population...they want the truck to provide as much passenger comfort as possible...that includes exhaust note...if you want the loud noise run a gutter pipe that is 3 or more inches...or cheat with a tip...or run your cat back you got now, then once you get your 50k miles, put on a real cat and then tell me ford doesnt put place too much in that cat for the f150 onliner...might be right for a 50 year old man who wants his truck wisper quite...but not for us who are looking for all power that we can find...or even better yet...when at home or at muffler shop, with muffler off...tell me how loud your truck is...its got nothing

No muffler sound

I hear someone say take the muffler off and ya got nothing? i beg to differ. I have no muffler on my 98 f150 , just a straight pipe after the dual cat and it is loud as hell. Sounds like a freight train going down the road. It is noisy as hell!!
Just a note
