Homemade headers

Anybody ever make their own headers? I have a torch and a nice mig and i'm wondering how hard it would be to heat up and bend some steel tubing to the right shape? If it could be done it would save a few hundred bucks.

Nope not really, there are a few shops around here that make them. You just use the manifold as a template, cut out the flat piece of steel with a plasma torch, then bend the tubing, flare the ends, weld on a collector and away you go. The only difference is that i don't have a hydraulic tubing bender.
