HI!... Here's my MAGNAFLOW/JDM-KOOKS set-up that MIKE TROYER and I designed and built for my truck. I should have the installed pics next week. All I can say is this system REALLY woke up my truck compared to my FLOWMASTER set-up I had on it.

Fallscrew--
I got the whole cat-back system. Cost was $379--cheapest I found on the net. Got it from www.bigexhaust.com Superb customer service--ordered it and had it the next day.
Performance gains obviously aren't huge. I'm very pessimistic when it comes to performance mods i.e. you never get what you expect/pay for, but with the MagnaFlow I definately feel low end power was gained. I feel most of the gain is in the 2000-3000 rpm range. Don't really know above 3000 rpms--don't drive it that hard. Throttle response is quicker than before. I don't really understand why, but the truck seems to shift better through all the gears--especially the 1-2 shift.
There's a slight hill I go up everyday. Prior to the system with the cruise set at 60 mph the truck would downshift right towards the top to maintain the set speed. Since the install of the cat-back, the truck will maintain 60 mph all the way to the top in OD--no downshift required...so, the cat-back had to increase the power a little bit.
The truck was bone stock--this was the first mod after much research. Thinking next mod will be a FIPK, then a Superchip...would really like a supercharger too

HI!... DOCDAVE22 : I have'nt had a chance to get the truck dynoed yet, but from the seat of the pants meter, I would say there was a "HUGE" difference in power. You have to remember though that I went from JBA shorty headers and a crappy FLOWMASTER set-up to the JDM/KOOKS long tubes and MAGNAFLOW mufflers with a "X" pipe. I would have to guestimate that I probably picked up about 25-30H.P and about 40FT/LBS of TORQUE over the old system I had on the truck. This is the best mod that I could feel so far. BUT....... remember that my truck is severely modded and can take FULL advantage of the system I fabricated together.

HI!... DOCDAVE22 : The long tubes were 100% easier to install over my old JBA headers. They actually designed them so that you can easily tighten down the bolts. After getting my old JBA headers off it only took me 45 minutes to install them compared to 3.5 hours for the JBA's. Sorry won't be able to get any track times till late in APRIL. All our dragstrips here are shut down for WINTER. I should be in the very high 13's when I get back to the track. I think I'm going to have to get some wider rear rims and HOOSIER slicks before running down the track next.I just installed a 2500 rpm stall converter and the truck is a bear to launch now. But when it does hook, it launches HARD!

HI!... DACDAVE22 : I have a ton of installed pics of my custom MAGNAFLOW exhaust system.............. BUT all my pics are at a buddies house right now. SEE, I don't own a scanner and I am forced to wait until he decides to scan them for me. Hopefully before the end of this week I will have them.
