Unhappy I'm going to be killed

I know that I might not be welcome back to the site but I used to be a member here and I used to own a ford. My old screen name was Snow white. Some of you may remember me for way back. Any way here is my question: I just traded my 00 F150 Xl sport for a 02 Dodge Ram SLT Lonestar etd. Does anyone know what exhaust system sounds good on the Dodge? I used to have a 40 series flowmaster on the Ford. I went from a V6 to an 8.

Please be kind.

Ramit

Talking

Well I bought the Ram a couple of weeks ago, then kicked myself in the *** that weekend when I found out about the 04 F150. I think I jumped the gun on my descison. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Silverado.

The engine is the 5.9 magnum and I don't know what would be more benifical. True duals or single in dual out.

i think you best bet to figure out which is best is do find a dodge message board and ask people which setup they like best. good luck with the new truck!

Yeah we know what works on a Ford, but I am sure Dodge's like something else.

I have had a hard time finding a message board for Ram owners thats why I came back to familar territoy. I didn't expect the systems to be the same. I don't know anyone else that drives a ram with my engine size so I am reaching out to those who might. Just wanted an opinion about exhaust systems in general.

Ramit,

I have the Gibson Supertruck. It's AWESOME!!! I think they make it for the Ram as well. Try www.gibsonperformance.com

Good Luck,

This may be a stupid question but is there anywhere online to listen to how the exhaust systems sound?

They have a clip on their site I believe of a stock 5.4 and one with the supertruck.

Have you looked at www.dodgetrucks.org already? I quickly browsed and found somes threads in the Engine Tech forum. If you like the FLowmaster sound, it sounds about the same on everything. IMO, Magnaflow makes higher quality mufflers and obviously freer flowing.

flowmaster

Ramit,
go to www.flowmastermufflers.com and go to 40 series or 50 series one of them, and they have a 5.9L with exhaust, it sounds great. I have a 40 series on my F150, and so look there, I know they have them for the dodges.....

Dodge's sound much better with dual exhaust than every other truck. Get a SI DO muffler with 4" tips and it'll sound very aggressive.
