HELP: Which # Magnaflow do I get?

What's up? After reading thru many message boards on here and other sites, I've made my decision to go w/ Magnaflow mufflers, but I'm not sure which ones to get. I have an '02 F150 SCrew w/ the 5.4L. I'm more than likely going to run true duals w/ an X pipe. I want good sound w/ good performance. I'm guessing a 14" or 18", but any particular stock#??

Thanx

Brent

I have a Magnaflow True Dual setup. I am running 2.25" you will probably want 2.5" since that is what is standard on the newer trucks.
Heres the stuff you will need. Go with 14" mufflers

14316 - Magnaflow 2.5" 14" SS Muffler x2
10791 - Magnaflow 2.5" SS X-Pipe
94306 - Magnaflow 2.5" SS Hiflow Cats x2 (If you want to go fro mthe manifolds back)
35105 - Magnaflow 3.5" x 18" SS Tips (2.5" ID)

Any more help, just ask

Why not just get a Magnaflow DIDO muffler which has an x-pipe built in? #14468 is the smallest at 5x8x18" body. DIDO 2.5" all around.

The DI/DO has a built in H-Pipe not X. X-Pipe yeilds more power, and the 2 mufflers gives a nicer tone than 1

H-pipe? I find that odd since they don't make a regular H-pipe. But I've never seen one so I can't say for sure.

I actually got one of a wrecked car, dont remeber exactly what it was, but it was busted beyond use, so I took a saws all to it, and after I moved the stuffing out the way, it was a nH-Pipe, everyone tries to tell me that they have an X-pipe, I just find it funny that they argue with me when I have actually cut one open. I have heard that the new ones may have a X-pipe, I just havent found one that I can crack open. But the one I did, it was an H.

Magnaflow Kit

Your best option, assuming you haven't already started this modification, is to get the Magnaflow Cat back kit. I have a '03 S'Crew with the 5.4 and was unsure if the kit would fit. I called magnaflow and they assured me it would work fine on the 02 and 03 trucks. The kit number is 15609, the cheapest place I have been able to find it is www.bigexhaust.com for ~379 + 20 shipping.

Hope this helps.

66, how did you like the system once it was installed?

I agree with 66's comments. I installed the 15609 SISO Magnaflow catback kit on my 2001 Screw 5.4L and love the results. This system has 3" tube back to the single tip which is 4". System provides nice sound without being obnoxious and I've noted better throttle response as well. Wouldn't have changed a thing if I had it to do again. Just my $.02.
