I have acetoned my f150 badges and they look great, i was wondering if you can do it to the expy badges, anyone know? any pics?

What is acetoning the badges?

I assume it means to chrome it, or make it all the same color- but what does it entail?

Do they take off the badges to do it, do the do it right on the truck, is this something you all do yourselves, or did you have to get it done somewhere?

Acetone, its simular to nail polish remover (actually nail polish remover has acetone in it). The stuff can be bought at places like Home Depot or Lowes. Acetoning your badges is simply removing the black paint on the F-150, Lightning, Navigator and Expedition badges, thus giving the badge a 'chrome' look to it. If you search the site for 'Acetone' you will come up with more information than you ever care to know about this 'mod' including how to do it. Basically, you just mask the badge off w/ tape and paper, then 'clean' the paint off of the badge. Dont get any acetone on your fender, this stuff will strip the clear coat. Here are some pics of others that have acetoned their badges.
