Question Contintal 265/70/17 what psi?

I forgot to ask the dealer when I had the tires recalled what the psi should be now? the originals were 275/60/17 the original door sticker was 26f/30r a new sticker was sent a few months back to make it 26f/33r but the sticker still says for a 275/60/17. The owners manual says use the doorjam sticker. catch 22.

Sooo I call a service dept (the one that did the recall) and they guy says "Well let's see, they're rated at 40, but they're too bouncy at that high (people have complained of a bouncy ride), I'd run mine at 35 all around."

That sounded like a weird way to get an answer.
So I call another service dept. At least she says to run the original pressure in the new tires. So that's what I have now, 26f/33r.

But since I'm getting ready to take our first road trip in the 2 1/2 years we've had our X, I want to make sure it's right, not gonna get to high and cause a blow out or anything, our trip is only about 300-400 miles, but with the kids, wanna be safe as i can make it.

Thanks for any answers.

We had a 2000 EB and now have a 03 EB,, I always run 36 psi all the way around on these vehicles, as far as bouncy? maybe a tiny bit in the old one but NOT the new one these rigs are Heavy!!! and the less rolling resistance the better ie higher psi, in tires,, BTW, these new Expeditions really go down the road , and track straight also i am not sure exactly on weight Dist. but the front does not seem that much heavier than the rear, regards,, Greg
