I have a 99 EB Exped with the 5.4, 3.73 and tow package. I've had a shudder issue since i bought it last August and today I bought a product today call Instant Shudder Eliminator made by *Smart Blend*. I added it to the tranny fluid...I'll report back in a few days with the results. Cost was $6 and is available from www.lifeautomotive.com

 

Good news. On the drive to work I didn't hear/feel the shudder (20 miles) .

FWIW, I looked into using a traction loc friction modifier but most specifically state they are not for use in Automatic transmissions.

 

Ford Sells a friction modifier for the clutch packs in the tranny. I used it and it completely removed it.
