I am putting OEMfogs on my 2000 expy but i cant get the wiring to the headlight switch right. i boght this off e-bay & the ad said will fit 00' to 02', turns out the instructions are for a 99' ONLY!(the headlight switches are totally different where the wires plug into the back)... i need for anyone with a 2000 expy with foglights and conventional(NOT AUTO-LAMPS) headlights to pull out your headlight switch(very easy-pry gently from the bottom with a small screwdriver) and tell me what color wires you have going into those two plugs (one should have 6 positions, the other should have 12. If you look closely there are TINY numbers on the plug. I need to know what color wire goes to each number(1-12). i know this is a PITA... IM SORRY!!! I NEED THIS INFO!!!

Did this kit include a new headlight switch with a foglight icon? Headlight switches are not the same for foglight vs. non-foglight systems.

 

thanx DAVEMAN but mine is a 2000 EXPEDITION, im pretty sure the color coding may be different between an F150 & an EXPY?if by " all ford trucks" that includes EXPEDITIONS, that would be cool.Ithink it may be different from 2000 to 2001 also?
yes PaulC, I do have a switch with the foglight icon for a 2000 model with NON-AUTO headlamps.

Does anyone have the plug layout (wire colors) for a '99 switch with foglights?

I have a '00 Expy just got the OEM kit with valance on Ebay and it had the '99 switch. Hoping to hardwire the 99 switch to my 00 harness.
