High Idle

I have a 97 Expy that I used to drive everyday. Now I have a POS Honda for my 100 mile drive to work 6 days a week. So the truck sits. I started it up today to go to work and I had a HIGH IDLE (around 1500-2000) Drove it to work and the high idle never got better.Everytime I'd stop for traffic you could hear and feel the high idle. The truck sat for 6 hour and I drove home again with the high idle. Any Idea how to fix it or what is wrong with my truck? I already tried to clean something in the MAS. But it was really clean to begin with. Anyone with any other answers?

No check eng light?
I had/have the high idle with the check eng light. Had the code read at Autozone. It is the Idle Air Control. I took it off and cleaned it with throttle body cleaner put it back together and the light came back on a day later. I have not replaced it yet. as soon as it warms up a bit I will be doing that.

Nope no Check Engine light. How hard is it to replace the Idle Air Control Valve? It seems to be doing it more and more these last cold weeks.

I think it looks harder than it is. I just laid down across the motor and did it. I'm not sure you want to go fishing like that. Did you post your question on the engine board? I guess it could not hurt to clean it with some good throttle body cleaner.

I cleaned it without any noticable difference. Thanks for your help I'll try posting it in the engine section.
