Well, i have had the new style brake pads on for a week now, and i have done 500 miles of driving without a wash, and the rims still look fairly clean! In fact, there is very little dust buildup, and what is there looks more gray in color than black.

 

What's the "new style brake pad"? Are they from Ford?

 

yes , they are ford pads

 

Were the new pads replaced under warranty? Spoke to my local dealer and he said there were not any new OEM pads available yet. He also said the same old "normal wear" line. I told him that was BS and to show me any other vehicle on the road that requires weekly wheel cleaning.

 

not under warranty, but they paid for them.

 

You dont happen to have a part number for these 'new' pads do you?
